PROPERTIES :
Form - Milky White coloured thin liquid.
pH value - 7-10
Dosage - Normally, 1-2 kg CEMFIX is required for 25 kg. of cement paint or 40-80 gms. Cemfix for per kg. of Cement Paint.
Drying time at 270C and 65% relative humidity - 4-6 hours
Recommended Time gap between two coats - 4-6 hours depending on atmospheric conditions

NOTE :
1. When CEMFIX is used as binder, 5-10% extra water may require getting same consistency as compared to normal cement paint – water mix. i.e., 1.1 water is required for 1 kg cement paint powder to get a paintable mix.
2. Always make thick homogeneous cement paint paste using recommended dosage of CEMFIX diluted with 40-50% of mixing water. Add remaining part of mixing water and mix it well to get a paintable consistency.
3. Always use same amount of water and CEMFIX to avoid variation in performance.

APPLICATION :
Surface PreparationAll surfaces must be sound, clean & free from any oil, grease, loose/powdery paint, efflorescence, algae, lichen etc.
Algae fungi can be removed by washing the surface with diluted calcium hypochlorite (house hold bleach) with approx. 35% chlorine content (recommended proportion 1 kg. to 10 ltrs. of water).
After application of hypo solution, wait for 24 horus and wash with potable water jet.
Scrub the surface to remove stain.
For efflorescence use Hydrochloric (Muriatic) acid, 5-10% solution in water and apply the same by brush over the surface.
After bubbling ceases scrubbing with stiff broom at the same time.
Do not allow etching solution to dry before rinsing.
Holes, cracks and friable areas must be patched with 1:3 cement-sand mortars.
Use diluted CEMFIX (1:5 with water) as mixing water for making patching mortar.

METHOD OF USE :
CEMFIX is supplied as an admixture for Cement Paint.
CEMFIX shall be diluted with half portion of mixing water.
Use this diluted CEMFIX with cement paint powder and make a thick lump free paste.
Add remaining part of water to the paste and make a smooth paint.
Apply this paint on prepared surface within one hour of mixing.

PRECAUTIONS :
CEMFIX Cement Paint Admixture ¨
Should be stirred well before use.¨
Should be protected from frost during transit, storage and at site.¨
Should not be applied when the temperature is likely to fall below 20 C.¨
Should be cured with potable water only after 24 hours after application of paint.
